BOARD OF DIRECTORS - MEVHİBE CANAN ÖZSOY

Mevhibe Canan Özsoy graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Istanbul University in 1985. She obtained her master’s degree in Dentistry from the same university in 1987, completed her MBA at Boğaziçi University in 1994, and earned a master’s degree in Energy Technologies from Sabancı University in 2015. She began her professional career as a dentist and joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1990. Throughout her career, she held Sales & Marketing and commercial leadership roles at leading global pharmaceutical companies, including Hoechst Marion Roussel, Glaxo Wellcome, and Sanofi Aventis.

In 2007, she was appointed Vice President of International Marketing at GE Healthcare in Paris. In 2009, she moved to the United States to serve as Marketing Director at GE Healthcare Systems. In 2011, she returned to Paris as General Manager of GE’s Global Mammography Business Unit, where she led the global management of the mammography business. In August 2012, Ms. Özsoy was appointed as President and CEO of GE Türkiye. In 2017, she assumed additional responsibilities as General Manager for Growth in the MENAT region. She led GE’s growth strategy in Turkey until June 2021. She continued to serve as a Consultant until June 2022, while retaining the title of Chair of the Board.

She is currently a Member of the SEV Board of Trustees. Between 2013 and 2025, she served as a Board Member of the American Business Forum in Türkiye (AmCham). From April 2022 to 2025, she served as a Board Advisor at Tekfen Temas and a Board Member of TRES A.Ş., and between November 2022 and November 2025, served as an Executive Committee Advisor at Esin Attorney Partnership (Baker McKenzie).

In 2023, she was appointed Independent Board Member of Biotrend Çevre ve Enerji Yatırımları A.Ş. She has been appointed as Independent Board Member of Garanti BBVA as of April 4, 2019. As of August 2025, she has been appointed Independent Board Member of Global Yatırım Holding. As of December 2025, she has also assumed the role of Chair of The Board of Biotrend Çevre ve Enerji Yatırımları A.Ş where she has been serving as an Independent Board Member. Ms. Özsoy is currently pursuing her PhD studies at Özyeğin University. She is married and has one child aged 36 and one grandchild aged 8.
