Steam & Heat Sales
Biotrend combined energy plants produce electricity and heat. As part of energy efficiency studies, it is aimed to evaluate the bioheat currently used in heating anaerobic fermentation units, greenhouses and administrative buildings in the upcoming period in areas such as compost production and steam sales, and to contribute to the Company's vertical integration strategy. Aligned with the Company's goal of facilitating the transition to a low-carbon economy, it is located within the Ezine Food Specialized Organized Industrial Zone. Ezine Biomass Energy Plant, which will have an installed power of 30 MW, where 1,000 tons of waste-derived fuel (RDF) produced from agricultural, forestry and municipal waste will be converted into energy per day, also plans to sell heat as hot water and saturated steam to companies in the organized industrial zone, in addition to bioelectricity. With this sale, Biotrend will affect the reduction of the Carbon Footprint of the companies in question, and will make a difference by achieving an important first in our country.
