Heat Sales
Biotrend combined power plants generate electricity and heat. Within the scope of energy efficiency studies, it is aimed to contribute to the Company's vertical integration strategy by utilizing its bio-waste, which is currently used for heating anaerobic fermentation units, greenhouses and administrative buildings, in areas such as compost production and steam sales in the coming period. It is located in the Ezine Food Specialized Organized Industrial Zone, aligned with the Company's goal of being a facilitator in the transition to a low carbon economy. The Ezine Biomass Power Plant, which will have an installed capacity of 30 MW, will convert 1,000 tons of daily waste derived fuel (WDF) produced from agricultural, forestry and municipal wastes into energy, and is planned to sell bioelectricity as well as heat in the form of hot water and saturated steam to the companies in the organized industrial zone.
